A Special Delivery in the Tidewater Area

At The Roofing Company team, we’re used to seeing all sorts of things while out on estimates—cracked shingles, worn-out flashing (the metal bits that keep water out of your roof’s corners), or the occasional rogue squirrel. But every now and then, we find something that reminds us why we love serving this community so much.

While Chuck Simpson was out visiting a home to look at a potential project, he was met with a "surprise" that had nothing to do with roof leaks or salt air damage. Instead of a technical problem, he was handed this masterpiece from a young neighbor named Rhett.

The drawing, addressed "TO roof person," features a very friendly bunny ready to help out with a basket in hand. It’s a great reminder that while we’re focused on the structural integrity of a house, to the families inside, we’re the ones helping keep their world safe and dry.

We talk a lot about "peace of mind during a midnight thunderstorm," but seeing it through the eyes of the kids who live under those roofs really hits home. It’s not just about shingles and nails; it’s about making sure Rhett and his family have a solid, dry place to call home for years to come.

If you’re ever in doubt about the health of your roof or just want a second pair of eyes to make sure everything is tucked away tight, we’re here to help. You can reach the team at 757-867-6600 or use the form on this page for us to contact you.
