To wrap up an incredibly active spring season of giving back, The Roofing Company, Inc. lace-up our running shoes for a cause that bridges Yorktown, VA, to Central America: the Run for Nicaragua 5K, hosted by Crossroads Community Church.
A Personal Passion Goes Corporate
This event holds a deep, long-standing personal significance for our owners, Brian and Teresa Chalsma. For years, they supported this vital mission individually out of their own pockets. However, as The Roofing Company, Inc. has grown, so has our ability to give back. We were incredibly proud to step up this year and sponsor the race officially through the company.
Impacting Lives Across the Globe
The Run for Nicaragua 5K isn't just about getting a good morning workout along the scenic paths of Yorktown; it’s a lifeline. Every single dollar raised goes directly toward funding critical clean water projects, medical clinics, children's feeding programs, and church planting initiatives in Nicaragua.
For Brian and Teresa, who are deeply dedicated to international mission work and spreading the Gospel, seeing our amazing Tidewater community come together to support families thousands of miles away is the ultimate reward.
We want to send a huge shoutout to Crossroads Community Church for organizing such a seamless, impactful event, and to all the runners and walkers who crossed the finish line for a great cause. We will see you again at the starting line next year!
