Project Description
Our Skylight Specialist team recently completed an installation project that involved adding more natural light to a home's dining and laundry areas. We achieved this by installing three new Velux Sun Tunnels - two on the back and one on the front of the home.
The project involved cutting an opening in the existing deck and installing the new tunnels with a UV-resistant clear TMR dome and metal flashing flange. To ensure maximum light reflection, we used Velux rigid tunnels, which boast a 99% reflective tunnel and a 20-year manufacturer's warranty. We also installed up to 36 feet of additional rigid tunnel to optimize the amount of natural light in the space. As an added bonus, the new sun tunnels include a Velux Sun Tunnel Solar Night Light, making the installation eligible for the current federal tax credit.
